Brown Convention Center (GRB), a 1.1 million-square-foot behemoth opened in 1987 on the eastern edge of downtown Houston, soon it will undergo a major redevelopment that will expand it. While an initial mock-up of the mace was created using one of the college's 3D printers, its production involved traditional casting, metalwork, woodwork and gemology.
